Three weeks ago, our team of three presented Operation PRAY at Calvary Chapel of the Harbor to enlist volunteers for prayer teams at five nearby high schools. With Brenda Garcia's outstanding administrative abilities and the congregation's enthusiasm for Gen Z, we swiftly established teams at nine high schools within two weeks, along with an extra school through a referral. The Los Alamitos team prayed with seventy-five students on their first day! What an explosion!

The last school we got up and running was Long Beach Wilson. Our awesome volunteers, Julie Vandevert, Pat and Judy Doyle, showed up right on time to pray for the early dismissal. We started off praying with a couple of people passing by, but once the bell rang, a large crowd of students gathered at the intersection, waiting for the light to change.

As Julie and I checked out the group of students, we approached one and asked if we could pray for her. She said, "Yes." So, we asked, "What should we pray for?" She replied, "Pray for my Dad's finances." After we prayed, we gave her an invitation card to the campus Christian club. She glanced at it and said, "That's when my club meets." When she took a closer look, she realized the info was actually for her club.

She became emotional while reading the card and mentioned that she had prayed earlier for God to bring more students to the meetings. She explained as club president she had recently taken a stand on some sensitive faith and political issues, which led to some people leaving the club. We responded by saying, "Look, God brought four people to help you!" She was so thrilled that she wanted to make a quick video with us to post on the club's Instagram account. Then, she called her dad to share how God had answered her prayer. Afterward, she decided to stay for the second dismissal time to pray with us and invite more students to the club meeting.

After the prayer time, I drove home to Corona through traffic, taking the opportunity to shout and sing praise and thanksgiving for witnessing Him accomplish far more than we could ever ask! God is incredibly good to us!
